North from the northernmost part of the Scottish mainland, there’s an island among the seventy, where a son of the Vikings established his own illegal Whisky production more than two centuries ago. Today, on the very site where Magnus Euson built his contraband realm, stands the Highland Park distillery, specialized in turning ancient tales into opulent Whiskies. A group of four craftsmen perfected their art in the wilderness of the North and, among many others, created a light golden Spirit to ward off darkness.
The Light, a special expression of only 28 thousand bottles, comes after its rayless counterpart, The Dark. The green bottle contains Scotch from refill American oak barrels and celebrates spring, summer, and rebirth with its lighter and sweeter character. There’s no darkness without the light and this dram shall keep gloom at bay.
